Supply List Information

Dear Madison Families,

I feel so honored and proud to be a member of such a generous and supportive community that cares about its children and its neighborhood school. Donors within our community have adopted each of our classrooms.  This means that every child at every grade at Madison will have all their Back-to-School supplies provided at no charge!

Madison can also offer basic school supplies to students who may need further assistance with supplies after the school year has started. This is due to the generosity of several community donors which include, Capital City Rotary, First United Methodist Church (FUMCO), and Reality Church, The school office or counselor can help with basic school supply needs after the school year has started..

As a token of thanks, if you are able, we ask that you consider making a donation of some school supplies or a monetary donation to the OSDEF Madison Foundation. Donated school supply items may be dropped off at the school office (please call to make an appointment). Please contact the school principal, Domenico Spatola-Knoll, at [email protected] for more information.

Sincerely,
Domenico Spatola-Knoll
Principal, Madison Elementary School

Questions and Answers

Which grades will have school supplies provided?

All students at all grade levels will have their Back-to-School items provided by donors at no charge. This includes Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade.

Do I still need to buy backpack?

Yes, families must provide their child(ren) with backpacks.  However, some years we have extra backpacks available for students.

But I’ve already purchased some of the school supplies on the list.

You may return the items to the store, or donate them to the school for students who may need them.

Are there any grades that have to provide their own supplies?

No, all students at all grade levels will have their Back-to-School items provided by donors at no charge.

I would like to see Madison’s “Adopt a Class Program” fully funded in future years. Can I (or my organization) make a monetary donation to the program?

Absolutely! Please contact the school principal, Mr. Spatola-Knoll, at [email protected] for more information.
