Supply List Information

Dear Madison Families,

I feel so honored and proud to be a member of such a generous and supportive community who cares about its children and its neighborhood school. This past week a couple of our community members pledged to support Preschool and 1st grade students with Back-to-School supplies. This now means that every child at every grade at Madison will have all their Back-to-School supplies provided at no charge!

Madison can also offer basic school supplies to students who may need further assistance with supplies after the school year has started. This is due to the generosity of several community donors which include, Capital City Rotary, First United Methodist Church (FUMCO), and Reality Church, The school office or counselor can help with basic school supply needs after the school year has started..

As a token of thanks, if you are able, we ask that you consider making a donation of some school supplies or a monetary donation to the OSDEF Madison Foundation. Donated school supply items may be dropped off when the school office opens on August 20. Please contact the school principal, Domenico Spatola-Knoll, at dsknoll@osd.wednet.edu for more information.

I’d like to take this opportunity to invite all our families to our “Back to School Event” on Tuesday, September 3rd. Families will be able to learn who their child's teacher is between 3:00 and 4:00. (For safety and confidentiality reasons we do not post class lists.) Our PTO will will be at the event with a tray full of cookies for our families and students to enjoy. OSD Transportation, Y-Care, and other OSD staff will be on hand to answer any questions you may have. This event is also a great chance to meet other Madison families.

Sincerely,
Domenico Spatola-Knoll
Principal, Madison Elementary School
